Kalita Kasar

Who Is Kalita?

Temet Nosce (Know Thyself). This has become my motto this year as I have gone on an inward pilgrimage after contracting pneumonia and spending a week and a half in Hospital recovering early in the year. I found a need to know my limits, to know my body, and to know my boundaries.

I am a writer of erotic fiction and somewhat darkish poetry which has earned me the title amongst some of my friends of Queen Of Mean.

I started writing as soon as someone put a pen in my hand and the alphabet in my mind, although I had been telling stories long before I had the knowledge to write them down.

The art of story telling was fostered by my paternal grandfather who loved nothing better than a warm fire, a hot mug of tea and a good session of 'yarn spinning' which had nothing to do with sheep or wool. Listening to his stories inspired me to create my own, and it was something he always encouraged in me.

Pop is dead now, but his legacy lives on in me and I have, this year decided to focus my energies on writing my own original fiction with a view towards publication. The time is right, the time is now!

Plasma Orgasmata: A term I first heard in the teleplay Angels in America. It is what I call that special spark of inspiration that makes a story great. See the movie, you will understand.
